Chattanooga gigabit may be expanded to other cities - EPB

EPB has taken the first step to expand gigabit Internet to cities beyond Chattanooga.
Right now Tennessee law prevents utilities from offering high-speed Internet outside their service areas.
But EPB has submitted a formal petition to the FCC to allow it to expand its network.
If the FCC rules in EPB's favor, the utility says it will consider expanding to any community - that requests it.
