Video Details

EPB has drastically cut the fee for its super-fast gigabit Internet.

The connection that used to cost customers $300 dollars a month is now down to $70 dollars.

And those who already receive speeds of 100 megabits or higher are being automatically upgraded.

That means the number of gig users in Chattanooga will go from 10 to about 3,000.

Supporters say the move will put Chattanooga ahead of the curve, but critics say most people won't even notice the difference.

Plus, EPB says tall 50 megabit customers will be upgraded to 100 megabits, and the entire transition should be finished by the end of the month.
