Appam is a traditional South Indian-style dish breakfast from the state of Kerala. It is also called Vellayappam or palappam in the same region. This appam is prepared with fresh rice flour and coconut batter along with instant yeast as a leavening agent. And it does not require soaking and fermentation processes like traditional appam dish and it takes only under 30 minutes to make this tasty meal. Appam is a perfect vegan-friendly and gluten-free dish that can be enjoyed for breakfast and dinner.
Ingredients :
1 cup raw Flour
1 tbsp sugar
1tspn fennel seeds
½ tsp salt
1 tspn coconut oil
Yeast
hot water
Boiled rice half cup
Instruction:
Take one Cup rice flour add boiled rice into it . Add salt , sugar coconut oil and mix it well. also add one spoon yeast Into the batter add pinch of fennel seeds. At last add 1tspn of coconut oil for make the batter a little more tastier. and keep it for half hours . Heat an appachatti into that pour the batter as required amount and shape it allow it to cook well and keep it covered. After cooking all sides well we can take it out from the chatti and that is it our very easy and tasty appam is ready to serve enjoy.
