I called the Schrade SCHF42 my favorite knife under $50, but some folks did not like the recurve. So, Schrade got back together with Brian Griffin and came up with the SCHF42D non-recurve version. Same full tang, 1095 steel, flat grind, 90 degree spine and comfortable handle; just not a recurve blade.
