ESTVG - Endless Solar Timelapse Video Generator
Every 15 minutes we download and processes a new AIA 171 image of the sun from Nasa's Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO).
The Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) is a NASA mission which has been observing the Sun since 2010. Launched on February 11, 2010, the observatory is part of the Living With a Star (LWS) program. [1]
Once a day at 8:05am PST, the server converts the downloaded images into a video running at 25 frames per second.
After the new video is generated, it is merged with the previous day's video.
This newly merged video is then uploaded to YouTube.
