How to Connect A Wi-Fi Router to the ASDL Modem 1, First Take the Telephone Line Which Contain Internet Connection 2, Second you have to collect Equipments Such as DSL Modem & Wi-Fi Router 3, You Have to Wire the Device properly as shows. 4, Then Change the Ip address assigned in as Automatic Ip to do that Open Control panel / Network and Sharing Center / Change adapter setting / press the right button in Local Area Connection then properties then double click TCP/IPV4 there you have to click on Obtain IP automatically and Obtain DNS automatically 5, after that open Control panel / Network and Sharing Center / Change adapter setting / press the right button in Local Area Connection click on status and then details there You Can find the default gate way that is normally the ip address of your WIFI Router 6, Type the IP Address you found in to any browser to get your modem page 7, give "admin" as username and password if it is asking in belkin routers no need to give password leave it as blank and continue 8, then click on the LAN Setting then change the IP Address of device to some 192.168.1.3 then save setting and reboot router. 9, after reboot open Control panel / Network and Sharing Center / Change adapter setting / press the right button in Local Area Connection click on status and then details there You can find the default gate way that is normally the ip address of your WIFI Router 10, assign the IP address of your PC to 192.168.1.X (Use any of 5-15) to do that open Control panel / Network and Sharing Center / Change adapter setting / press the right button in Local Area Connection then properties then double click TCP/IPV4 there you have to click on Use the following IP e.g. : 192.168.1.9 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.3 (if you don't sett the default gate way then the router will not be identified) and sett primary DNS Server to same as default gate way 192.168.1.3 11, Now go to the browser and type in the router IP 192.168.1.3 it will lead you to the router page then you have to select Connection type there you can find type of connection named as "PPOPe connection" there You have to set your USER Name and Password that given by Internet Provider. after all these setting it is done the router will automatically connect the internet and route it to all devices you have connected to router
